The History of Osborne Caterers
History

Origins
In the early 1970’s, Ralph Arrigo, son of the late Hon. Edgar Arrigo CBE, established Osborne Tailored Catering, a small catering firm operating from the Osborne Hotel in Valletta.

Industry Expertise
As it set industry standards, the thriving family enterprise became renowned for its quality food, professional presentation and innovative delicacies.

Passion & Excellence
With a tradition of fine cuisine and service, the establishment enjoyed an expanding list of prestigious customers, serving past Popes, foreign dignitaries, state functions, Ministerial and Presidential dinners.

Forward Thinking
Over thirty years ago, the catering company expanded its vision beyond the Osborne Hotel, with a desire to transform the nature of the business to a Boutique. As Osborne Caterers, the company acquired Villa Arrigo and Villa Anna Teresa. These historical and stunning properties serve as upmarket venues, catered exclusively by Osborne.

Ralph Arrigo
In the late 50s, Ralph Arrigo, together with his wife Carmen, turned his passion for fine antiques into a thriving enterprise. A few years later, he also ventured into the pharmaceutical business and property development.
Ralph Arrigo’s business later grew to include other projects in the hospitality trade, namely catering and tourism. These corporations are today the backbone of Arrigo Group of Companies. On his passing, the Ralph Arrigo Foundation was founded to raise funds for research in medical studies.
